How To Make The Best Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

One of my favorite things to eat and make has to be a simple dessert like place and bake cookies or ice cream sandwiches.  You know, something that you don’t have to work too hard for, simply because I’m usually in a hurry.  But, if time permits itself and I love to fix a nice dessert, such as cupcakes, muffins or a cake.  The best dessert has to be banana muffins but I have since learned a twist to the classic muffin.

For this recipe, there isn’t really anything healthy about it.  It’s just a good old fashion muffin.  There are a couple different variations you can use in place of the chocolate chips.  Some prefer using Rolo’s, but I tend to stick with the classic chocolate chip.  Here is what you will need to get started:

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Stick of Butter (softened)
  • 1 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Baking Soda
  • 3/4 Tsp.Salt
  • 2 Mashed Ripe Bananas
  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chips (Or Rolo’s, if you prefer)

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 – Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

Step 2 – Cream together the butter and sugar

Step 3 – Next mix in the eggs, vanilla and the sour cream

Step 4 – In a large bowl combine the flour, baking powder, soda and salt

Step 5 – Next mix the sugar mixture into the flour mixture and still until it is all combined

Step 6 – Mix in the bananas and Chocolate chips and pour into 2 loaf pans or 24 muffins

Step 7 – Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when pricked

I prefer to eat my muffins the next day, allowing all the flavors to blend together and soften.  But you can eat them once they have cooled or have them for breakfast!  Enjoy!
