As human beings, we all suffer through days where we just want to hang it up and check into depression rehab, or get under the covers of a comfortable bed and sleep the sadness away. These are feelings we must prepare for in our lives, and we must learn how to properly handle them so they do not turn into a serious case of depression where you become reliant on happy pills. The best way to handle to feeling down or depressed is to just not accept it. Don’t allow yourself to become sad or upset! Stand up for yourself and force a smile. This is obviously much easier said than done. If you are able to pull yourself together, there are plenty of things you can do to boost your mood and forget about blues.
Get organized and clear all of the clutter.
Being unorganized is an automatic mood killer. Having a cluttered home or office can mentally mess you up as well. Start the decluttering process by taking some deep breaths and picking up one item at a time. If you don’t need it, toss it. If you need to keep it, put it back in the right place. Small accomplishments and completing chores will instantly boost your mood. If you need motivation, grab a pair of headphones and listen to classical music. Classical music will calm your nerves and make your decluttering as enjoyable as possible.
