Smartphones are so much a part of our lives these days that we take them for granted. They are computers filled with all of your private and personal info. In fact, one iPhone has more technology than Apollo 11. It seems like every year a new version of your favorite smartphone is released. Naturally you want to trade it in. When you trade your phone in for a new one, you need to erase your personal info first. It’s not as simple as just deleting it, however – you need to use the “One Pass Zero” method, which not only erases the data, but overwrites it with a series of zeros (remember digital data in its purest form is 1s and 0s).

    Just as a note, don’t ever use the word “password” or any modification of it like “pa55w0rd1” as an actual password. It is horrendously easy for a hacker to figure out
