Don’t forget to be grateful.
Severe depression and anxiety can make you feel as if you have nothing going for you. When you read it, it may sound selfish. It’s not your fault, however. It is a clever trick depression plays on your brain. You’ve always been told to be grateful and that can help depression. This is very true! It’s very difficult to be depressed if you can write a long list of all the things you love in your life. Not so much a mental trick, as a realization of what you’re very lucky to have, despite this tough time you’re going through. Another way to get the relay how grateful you are to your brain is by looking through pictures. Find an album on your phone or an old family album and start looking through it.
