The Importance of Lifting
No one needs to convince you that lifting weights will put tons of muscle on your body. What may be less obvious to you is how muscles are such an important part of long term, successful fat loss. An additional 10lbs of muscle gained can literally transform a metabolism and add what would seem like an absolute minimum of 500 calories to the individual’s daily metabolic rate. That amounts to 3,500 calories per week! You don’t want to lift every single day, however. Space it out and lift three, maybe four, times per week. Give your muscles time to rest.
