Eating less may sound appealing in the big picture of your weight loss journey, but it will actually hurt you a lot more than it will help you. Why is skipping meals such a bad idea?
- Skipping meals means you are far more likely to experience low blood sugar symptoms and the inevitable carbohydrate cravings that go with it.
- Your body requires the right nutrients at the right time.
Your body was constructed with the view that you have to spend energy in order to get food. If you think back a hundred or more years ago, if you required eating something you had to either go hunting daily or produce your own food. And that requires a great deal of work – that’s a lot of physical action. Even though we no longer have to do this, but it doesn’t change the fact that our body is still designed this way.
