Stop drinking out of plastic bottles.
Grabbing a bottle of water when you’re in a hurry or leaving the gym is much quicker than grabbing a cup, scooping some ice, and pouring some filtered water. Unfortunately, you should think twice about that plastic bottle. Plastic water bottles and other plastic containers commonly contain bisphenol-A (BPA), a hormone-like chemical that can leach out of bottles and into your bloodstream, especially when heated. BPA is shown to reduce testosterone and thyroid levels while increasing estrogen levels, potentially causing weight gain, depression and fatigue. This is the reason why you’ve probably started hearing that you should never leave your water bottle in your car, especially on warmer days.
