San Francisco, California
San Francisco is another great city for active, fit singles. The city rated 10th in a Gallup-Healthways poll of fittest cities, and has the second lowest obesity rate in the country. In 2004 the research firm Teasley published findings that ranked San Francisco as the best place to find a rich, single man in the United States, as measured by the city’s single male “Golden Ratio” of 140 percent, and specifically accounting for the large percentage of gay males. One of the downfalls to living in San Francisco is the high cost of living, but to the counter that, there are some amazing companies to work for in the area.
San Francisco has a density of about 18,187 people per square mile (7,022 people per km2), making it the most densely settled large city (population greater than 200,000) in the state of California and the second-most densely populated major city in the United States after New York City. San Francisco is the fourth-most populous city in California, after Los Angeles, San Diego and San Jose, and the 14th-most populous city in the United States.
