10 Most Ridiculously Difficult Games Ever Made
If you thought Frogger was easy, you should probably give another game about amphibians a try. Battletoads was the first game that made the game more difficult by adding another player. Instead of making it easy to work as a team, your characters could bounce off each other making a screen already cluttered with enemies even more hazardous. Starring threeanthropomorphic toads named after skin conditions, Rash, Zitz, and Pimple, the series was created to rival the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesgames. The series as a whole has been quite popular with five installments up to this date and at its apex spawned an animated television pilot. The initial Battletoads game for the NES was renowned for its difficulty, but also received a cult following and spawned sequels for various platforms including a crossover with the Double Dragon series. In each of the games, the objective is to defeat the toads’ nemesis the Dark Queen and her army of space mutants.
